Frank Lampard will be Chelsea Manager one day – Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has admitted that Frank Lampard will return to Stamford Bridge to take his place as the Club manager and has opened the door for the midfielder to join his
coaching staff.

Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer played his last game at Chelsea in May and is set to sign for the loaded New York City franchise in the US Major League Soccer.

Early this week , Chelsea confirmed Lampard would leave the club and Jose Mourinho takes time to praise him in the highest terms, saying he is happy to see him come back to Chelsea one day.
“You can’t imagine how difficult it was for him to leave.” Mourinho said
“It’s not the end of Frank’s career at Chelsea – it’s just a little break. It’s the end of his career as a Chelsea player, but he will be back for many, many years because he’s one of the most important players in the club’s history.
“He can be a coach, he can start at the academy, he can start being my assistant at the same time because he is doing his coaching badges, or he can start in a different role.
“For now, he feels that he still wants to play football for another two or three years, and he is happy to do that because it’s the thing he loves most apart from his family.”
The former West Ham is Chelsea’s all-time leading goal scorer with 211 goals in all competitions during his 13-year stint with the Blues.
