Arsenal Priced Out Of Move For Real Madrid Star

La Liga giants reject Gunners bid for Argentina international.
Arsenal’s hopes of signing Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria have been dealt a blow, according to the Daily Express.
The Gunners reportedly made a £32m bid for the Argentina star earlier this
month, but the La Liga giants are apparently demanding £45m – a transfer fee that the North London club could be unwilling to pay.
To date, Arsenal’s record signing is Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil, who cost £42.4m when he joined from Real in September 2013.
The fact that Di Maria’s current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu still has over four years left to run means that Real are in a very strong bargaining position.
Furthermore, manager Carlo Ancelotti does not particularly want to sell Di Maria, who has enjoyed an impressive season for the La Liga giants.
The 26-year-old has scored four goals and provided 15 assists in 33 league appearances.

Manchester City are also said to be keen on Di Maria and the Premier League champions are less likely to be put off by Real’s hefty demands.
Di Maria, who has been capped 44 times at senior international level, was included in Argentina’s provisional 30-man World Cup squad on Tuesday.
