David Beckham wants sacked Manchester United boss David Moyes to manage his Major League Soccer franchise, according to The Sunday Times.
Beckham is launching an MLS team in Miami and he has
apparently used a third party to contact Moyes with an informal proposal.
Despite being given a six-year contract at Old Trafford, Moyes was dismissed after just 10 months in charge.
However, he still appears to be a man in demand and last week he claimed that he has turned down two job offers since leaving the Red Devils in April.
Moyes is said to be keen to return to management in Europe, but Beckham seems hopeful of convincing him to take a sabbatical in the United States of America.
Beckham’s Miami team are still waiting to be approved by public vote and they will not play in the MLS until 2017.
Nevertheless, the ambitious former England captain wants his coaching staff in place as soon as possible to give his side every chance of challenging for the MLS title in their first season.
A 19-year-old Beckham played alongside Moyes during a brief loan spell at Preston North End in 1995.
